Today, we want to recognize our amazing student support team. Ms. Joy Bowling and Ms. Tracey Foster-Long make up our student support team. Ms. Bowling is our Community in Schools Facilitator and she works tirelessly to help improve student attendance and ensure each student is ready to learn. She is constantly working to build relationships with local organizations to support our students. She is at every school event and is constantly looking for new way to connect with each student. Ms. Foster-Long is our school counselor. She is constantly advocating for the mental health and behavioral needs of our students. Whether it is in her lessons, small groups, or one-on-one support sessions, she is showing true dedication to her profession. We are truly blessed to have them at JBE. Ms. Bowling and Ms. Foster-Long, thank you for all that you do to support JBE.
Today, we want to recognize our awesome Kindergarten team! Ms. Melanie Miklos, our kindergarten teacher, and Ms. Sandy Richmond, our kindergarten teacher, are an amazing team. They are constantly engaged in teaching and supporting their students. When one is able to observe them, their passion and dedication immediately becomes apparent. Ms. Miklos, through our curriculum initiatives, sets on a leadership team and helps shape the course of instruction in our school district. Ms. Richmond is always willing to provide a necessary perspective or support in various school-wide initiatives. JBE is blessed to have them both. Ms. Miklos and Ms. Richmond, thank you for all that you do to support JBE!
Today, we want to recognize our amazing PreK Team. Ms. Jessica Pack, our PreK teacher, and Ms. Teresa Conner, our PreK aide, are a phenomenal team. They are constantly working to support the needs of our youngest students. They have worked diligently all year to ensure our youngest students have a solid foundation from which their educational success will blossom. Ms. Conner was named JBE's service personnel of the year for her efforts. Ms. Pack is continuing to grow her skills by going back to school for a degree in educational leadership. JBE is blessed to have them on our team. Ms. Conner and Ms. Pack, thank you for dedication to our school.
Today, we want to recognize our resource teacher, Ms. Haley Lane. Ms. Lane is an active leader in our school. She is constantly helping to ensure many of our student activity initiatives are a success. JBE is blessed to have her at our schools. Ms. Lane, thank you for all that you do for JBE.
As we continue recognizing our amazing faculty, we want to recognize Ms. Blankenship. Ms. Blankenship is our itinerant/interventionist teacher! Whether it is serving students in small groups, working with them one-on-one, filling in where needed, serving in the absence of the principal, or just eating lunch with a student, Ms. Blankenship is constantly working to promote a positive academic environment at JBE! Today, we want to continue to recognize our amazing faculty. We want to recognize Ms. Morgan Durham. Ms. Durham is one that gives her heart and soul to her students, whether it be learning to improve her craft or meeting the needs of each of her students. She is patient, kind, and supportive to each of her kids, and she understands each of their needs. We are truly blessed to have Ms. Durham at JBE. Ms. Durham, thank you for all that you do for JBE.
We have purchased licenses for an exciting reading program that students can use over the summer to build and maintain their reading growth! If you are interested in using this program, please let us know! This program is appropriate for PreK students all the way through 5th grade. You must have a touch screen device and access to the internet. The program will be free to you. If someone has already contacted you about using this program, you are already included in our count for licenses and devices. These will be given on a first come basis until we run out of licenses. Please remember that next Tuesday, May 30, 2023, is our Awards Day! We have broken it up into different blocks of time, by grade level. Awards will be presented in the sanctuary of the JB Tabernacle Church. Please be respectful of the times and do not come into the church until 5 minutes before the scheduled time for your child. This is especially important for the time between the 1st/2nd grade and 3rd/4th grade awards times. We are so excited to celebrate your child's accomplishments with you! The day's schedule is below.

Today, we want to recognize our First Grade Teacher, Ms. Katelyn Gration. Ms. Gration came to JBE two years ago. Since then, she has constantly tried to find new ways to support and help her students grow. Ms. Gration is a teacher that is always eager to learn, try new things, and be an active member of our faculty. Her heart and passion for this profession is true. We are blessed to have her at JBE. Ms. Gration, thank you for all that your do for JBE and its students!!
